The Magical Hogwards Express Train – Overview
Book your Hogwarts Express Train now!
Calling all Harry Potter Fans, The Magical Highlands Tour is now ready to depart! See the best Scotland has to offer by purchasing your “Hogwarts Express ticket” today. Celebrate 20 years since the publication of the first Harry Potter novel!
Highlights
Your adventure will begin with an early morning coach ride towards the picturesque town Fort William. On the way you will pass through key filming locations used in all 8 of the Potter films including when the death eaters boarded the Hogwarts Express and when Hermione punches Malfoy!
Once your “Hogwarts Express ticket” has been punched, the Jacobite Steam Train (The Hogwarts express) will depart from Fort William so sit back, relax, and absorb the beautiful and rugged landscape that has been the back drop to so many movies. On board you will be provided with a packed breakfast and a knowledgeable tour manger to point out any flying cars!
For most, the highlight of the tour will be crossing the magnificent 21-arched Victoria Glenfinnan Viaduct. It is at this moment you will feel truly immersed in the wizarding world of Harry Potter as the Jacobite Train steams across viaduct on its way to Hogwarts. You will also have time to stretch your legs at the Glenfinnan Station and, if you wish, visit the West Highland Railway Museum. For the final part of the tour you will arrive at the fishing village of Malila taking time for lunch before heading back by coach past the Glenfinnan Viaduct and back to Edinburgh Via Loch Laggan.
The Tour includes the Jacobite steam train tour, a single travel ticket, and a returning journey by coach. There’s a knowledgeable tour manager on board and a small packed breakfast will be provided. (We regret that we cannot cater to individual dietary requirements.)
The Tour excludes lunch and Hotel drop off – The drop-off point is at Diagon House.
