Disney on Broadway Tour – Overview
Are you a Disney fan? Or a lover of Broadway? Then this is the perfect tour for you! Created in collaboration with Disney Theatrical Group, this Disney on Broadway tour takes you behind the magic at New Amsterdam Theatre! Get exclusive access on this special guided tour discovering the magic of Broadway productions like “The Lion King” and “Aladdin”.
Highlights
Spend the first hour of your tour with the in-house historian as you wander through the incredible New Amsterdam Theatre. You’ll have the theatre to yourself so you can visit the floor and balcony levels as your guide describes what goes into the creation of Broadway productions like “Beauty & the Beast” and “Mary Poppins” along with some Broadway superstitions – including a few ghost stories.
The highlight of your tour is when you visit the Prop Studio, where you’ll find treasures untold as you get up close and personal with original props, costumes and set pieces for many of your favourite Disney on Broadway musicals. You’ll also hear audio recordings from the show and learn lots of fun Disney trivia!
It wouldn’t be a Broadway tour without actually visiting Broadway! Stop at landmark theatres where legendary shows drew huge crowds and global attention as you discover the unlikely origins of Times Square and hear the rags-to-riches tale of NYC’s theatre district (and how Disney was instrumental in changing the fate of the red light district). With your insightful guide you’ll see the most popular cast hangouts and get a grasp on how colossal a Broadway production is.
Combine the magic of Disney and the glamour of Broadway into one epic behind-the-magic adventure!
