British Music Experience – Overview
Visit the British Music Experience, the UK’s premier attraction about the history of music in the UK. Located in Liverpool, the birthplace of The Beatles, a visit here will leave you singing in the streets!
Highlights
The British Music Experience tells the story of British Music through costumes, instruments, performance and memorabilia. Whatever your age and what you’re into, there is something for you! The museum has outfits worn by artists from David Bowie and Dusty Springfield, to the Spice Girls and Adam Ant and musical instruments played by some of the world’s most renowned artists from Noel Gallagher to the Sex Pistols. Moreover, they even have the original statues from the Brits, and memorabilia from the Beatles through to Adele. Visitors can also get involved for example by learning a musical instrument, from drum kits to keyboards, record in a vocal booth or practice dance routines in the Dance the Decades experience.
The museum is suitable for visitors of every age, because there is plenty interactive things for everyone to get involved with. The Family Activity Sheet, for instance, is full of fun puzzles and quizzes for the whole family to solve. Or be active and learn the steps to different dances. If singing is your thing, try out the Vocal Booth where you can sing your heart out. However, those are only some of the attractions, the experience has to offer. And there’s so much more to discover!
