Highlights

Visit the Intrepid Sea Air & Space Museum today and in order to explore the Museum, examine original artefacts, view historic video footage and explore interactive exhibits. The exhibitions are home to a variety of engineering excellence and technological ingenuity. For instance, you will walk across the decks of the legendary aircraft carrier Intrepid which served tours of duty in The World War I and the Vietnamese War. Moreover, the Space Shuttle Pavilion showcases the prototype NASA orbiter which paved the way for America’s successful space shuttle program.

In addition, you will be able to spectate the British Airways Concorde, the world’s fastest military jet. It crossed the Atlantic Ocean in only 2 hours, 52 minutes and 59 seconds. This record-breaking plane is a must see!

Finally, view the Submarine Growler which first exhibited at the  Museum back in 1989. It is the only American guided missile submarine open to the public. The Growler offers visitors a first-hand look at life aboard a submarine and a close-up inspection of the once “top-secret” missile command centre.
