Highlights
The Legion of Honor is probably the most beautiful museum of San Francisco. It diplays a collection of 4000 years of ancient and European art. From the museum, which is located in Lincoln Park, you’ll have an amazing view on the Golden Gate Bridge, too. The museum was build in memory of the soldiers that had died in the first World War.
See Auguste Rodin’s famous sculpture, The Thinker, which, as you enter, sits in the museum’s Court of Honor. Also on display is the Legion’s magnificent Skinner pipe organ, built in 1924.
Immerse yourself in the works of Rembrandt, Degas, Seurat, and Picasso. Also, treat your ears to Bach, Gershwin, and some of Hollywood’s great and memorable music on weekends at 4 pm.

Tours of its permanent collection and special exhibition galleries are offered daily and visitors can choose from a self-guided audio tour, one of their daily public docent tours, or book a private tour (docent-led tour for groups of 10 or more).
