Aquarium of the Bay – Overview
The Aquarium of the bay is located in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf at Pier 39. It guarantees a fun day out and in addition it is a great place to explore the local marine life of San Francisco.
There are a lot of attractions to see and do at the Aquarium of the Bay. For instance, experience over 20,000 marine animals in their natural habitat and walk through tunnels of colourful fish. Also, you can watch Tahoe, the playful friendly river otter, and get interactive with a hands-on experience touching sea stars, rays and other sea life at the touch pools. Make sure you don’t miss the giant Pacific octopus! After that you can come face to fin with Sevengill sharks, the largest predator in the Bay!
In addition, take the opportunity and watch some of the daily attractions, such as the animals’ feeding or the shark talk. If you want an unforgettable experience, you even get the chance to sleepover in tunnels “under the bay”. The Aquarium truly offers fun activities for young and old.
