The Rubin displays art that traverses Asia’s diverse cultures, regions, and narratives. The Museum’s unique exhibitions celebrate art forms that range from ancient to contemporary. One of the Rubin’s most popular installations is the Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room, from the Sacred Spaces exhibition.
Visitors are invited to stop by the Rubin’s Café Serai, where they’ll discover a variety of Asian snacks and tea blends to indulge in the fragrances of the Himalayas

FAMILY SUNDAYS SUN 1 – 4 PM
Families can drop into the Museum on Sundays between 1:00–4:00 PM for casual art-making and free family-friendly activities. Designed for children ages 3 and up with accompanying adults, the art activities change monthly and connect with the art and ideas of the Himalayas.

Inspired by Tibetan prayer wheels, The Power of Intention brings together select examples of traditional and contemporary art to illuminate the relationship between our intentions, commitments, and actions. This exhibition features interactive works by international artists Monika Bravo, Alexandra Dementieva, Youdhistir Maharjan, Charwei Tsai, and Scenocosme’s Grégory Lasserre & Anaïs met den Ancxt
