Visit Muncaster, with the historic haunted Muncaster Castle, wild woodland gardens and exhilarating bird of prey displays, the perfect family day out in the Western Lake District.
Muncaster Castle, still a lived-in home for the Pennington family after more than 800 years, commands fantastic views from its vantage point above the Ravenglass estuary. Set in 77 acres of woodland and magnificent gardens against the backdrop of the Western Lake District fells, these idyllic surroundings provide memorable days out for visitors of all ages.

B&B and self-catering accommodation is available onsite in the Coachman’s Quarters, as well as a cafe, gift shop and children’s play area.
Muncaster Castle hosts a variety of family friendly events and experiences throughout the year; full details and dates available on their website.
