Revel in the sights of the UK’s tallest sculpture, The ArcelorMittal Orbit with views of Alexandra Palace to the north, Epping Forest to the east, the Crystal Palace transmitter to the south and the magnificent Wembley Stadium to the west.
At a staggering 80m above the ground, the viewing platform of the ArcelorMittal Orbit will give you a viewing experience like no other.
Your visit starts at the base of the sculpture, exploring Anish Kapoor’s red lattice tower as it twists and turns above you. The lifts will whisk you 80m up to the viewing platforms and their distinctive panorama of London.
Visitors to the ArcelorMittal Orbit will also have unparalleled perspectives of a further five football stadiums and some of London’s most famous attractions, such as The Shard, the Gherkin, Big Ben, the BT Tower, Canary Wharf and the O2 Arena as well as new additions to the landscape including the “Walkie Talkie” and the “Cheesegrater” buildings in the City of London.
The Shrouds of The Somme – 8th – 18th November 2018
To mark 100 years since the end of the First World War, 72,396 shrouded figures will be laid out in rows, next to the ArcelorMittal Orbit with each figure representing a British serviceman killed at the Somme who has no known grave.
Visitors entering the ArcelorMittal Orbit will have the opportunity to admire this astonishing installation from the observation platforms and the outside observation walkway suspended 262ft above the ground.
