The Cartoon Museum champions cartoon and comic art, highlighting its value to culture and society. It opened its doors for the first time in 2006 and re-opened in 2013 at its new address. Preserving the best of British cartoons, caricatures, comics and animation. That is what the museum dedicates itself to. Learn more about the wonderful world of cartoons and caricatures in the gallery, archives and innovative exhibitions.
The collection houses many original drawings that span the centuries and will have you in fits of laughter. During your visit here, you will be able to see a selection of 6000 artworks and a library of over 8000 books. Furthermore, experience many original artworks from British cartoons and comics, from caricatures of the early 18th century and political wartime cartoons to a “new satire” section with more recent works. Also, get creative and let cartoons and comic pages inspire you. Additionally, you can participate in exclusive workshops. Professional artists and writers complete the experience.
Immerse yourself in a world of superheroes, caricatures, manga, and animation. There is plenty to see for everyone! Old and young, cartoon enthusiasts and art lovers, everyone will get their money’s worth at this museum.
Located in between Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus, you will easily be able to get there by the underground.
