Coronado Beach, California

This 1.5 mile long beach can be reached by ferry or bridge from San Diego. Its various water activities, gentle waves and a gorgeous background of luxurious mansions attract many people every year. Visit the high street of Coronado to enjoy a meal in some of the finest restaurants or just a refreshing drink in the pub.

Baker Beach, San Francisco

Baker Beach is one of the sites which will impress you with its stunning vistas. Your trip to this beach will be rewarded with the beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge, one of America’s famous historical sight. Walk over the bridge to get unforgettable feelings of freedom, space and inspiration.

Rockaway Beach, Oregon

This beach is a great place for both relaxation and fun activities. On the one hand, it’s got 7 miles of sandy strip to explore and different sea creatures in its tide pools. On the other hand, its winds provide ideal conditions for kite flying. Head to Rockaway Beach for a Kite Flying Festival every May.

Muscle Beach, Santa Monica

Muscle beach is an unusual ocean-side place as it’s equipped with a bunch of training equipment and, therefore, attracts loads of fitness-conscious people. Its stunning views on Pacific inspire and help to get you in a modd for fitness. This beach draws fitness experts, celebrities and bodybuilders and is great for people watching.

Long Beach, Washington

Discover a unique coastal environment of Long Beach by participating in some amusing activities as clam digging, horse riding and kayaking. You could also take a trip to a local lighthouse. Kahanamoku Beach, Waikiki, Oahu

Situated at the end of Waikiki, this wonderful beach got its name after a famous swimmer Duke Paoa Kahanamoku who brought a new touch to surfing and spread its popularity all over the world. It’s true, Hawaii is ‘off’ the US West Coast. However, the beauty of Kahanamoku Beach made it impossible to not include it in this list.
