Step into Shakespeare’s Schoolroom!

Shakespeare's Schoolroom
Step into 16th century Stratford-upon-Avon and discover where William Shakespeare went to school as a child!

To study, or not to study: that is the question. Visit Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall where you can follow in the footsteps of William Shakespeare, the world’s most famous playwright! Here, visitors can step into 16th century Stratford-upon-Avon where Shakespeare was educated as a boy.

When visiting the attraction, you will get to sit and learn in the exact same room that Shakespeare did as a boy. Likewise, you will get to explore the buildings where he was inspired as a child by some of the best actors of the time and where his father served as mayor. But you are not just there to explore the facilities; you are there to be educated! You are at one of the best schools from the 16th century so no time must be wasted! Head to the room immediately where you will join a Tudor school lesson just like in Shakespeare’s days. You will get to learn about all the subjects the students would have learned back then. Other activities include brushing up on your Latin, playing Tudor games, and getting messy with a quill and ink. And while you’re there, make sure to dress up Tudor-style for a selfie!

And as Shakespeare himself said: “Farewell! God knows when we shall meet again.” (And by that he means that he will see you tomorrow at Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall!)
