This weekend marks the beginning of December, so it’s time to start getting festive. If you’re looking for something to do or something to get you in the Christmas spirit then look no further. Chelsea Physic Garden is holding its annual Christmas fair.
Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of December
It’s forecast to be a chilly weekend, so it’s ideal that the stalls are all comfortably housed in heated marquees where you can peruse their wonders at your leisure. This year’s Chelsea Physic Garden Christmas Fair promises to be bigger and better than ever before with a huge range of stalls that are perfect for Christmas shopping ideas. The delights on offer will include exclusive leather goods, ceramics, unique jewellery, garden equipment, handmade chocolate, chutneys, cheese & smoked salmon, cashmere garments and children’s clothes – to name a few!
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, indulge in some deliciously hearty winter foods such as mince pies and mulled wine. Or, for something more substantial, choose from a selection of hot breakfast and lunchtime treats. All of these can be found in the Tangerine Dream Café. Furthermore, you can place your orders for games pies, baked hams, Christmas cakes and more; local delivery is free or you can collect by 11am on 21st of December.
While you’re there don’t forget to enjoy your glittering wintery surroundings. Why not take a tour with an expert to enlighten you on the finer details of the garden’s flora.
If you’re still not feeling full to the brim with Christmas cheer then get stuck in with Crafty Christmas Creations. Decorate your own Christmas cards and make your very own decorations from a selection of recycled and natural materials.
Please note: tickets for Crafty Christmas Creations are sold on the door of the Education Room and cost £2.50 per person. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
