The Gweek Seal Sanctuary is a charity funded sanctuary for injured, abandoned or orphan seal pups. The sanctuary is located in Helford Estuary, near Gweek, Cornwall.  The sanctuary will give its visitors insight into the rescue programme they carry and the work done in roder to ensure the seal pups can be safely retuned into the wild.  Although the idea for a seal sanctuary dates back to 1958 and Ken Jones’s humble pool, the Seal Sanctuary in Cornwall has since become a grand family day out attraction, providing families with the perfect combination of entertainment and education.

The Gweek centre boasts a great range of services including a nursery, convalescence and resident pools as well as a hospital with treatment and preparation areas. Due to its programme and incredible levels of dedication from its staff, the Gweek Seal Sanctuary has managed to place tens of seals back into the wild, with the ones too fragile for this step becoming permanent residents of this wonderful centre.
