At the Monkey Sanctuary Looe, Cornwall there is fun for all the family. The sanctuary is home to three species of monkey which are cared for by expert keepers, having been rescued from across the UK and from the global trade in primate pets. There have been many new arrivals this year including baby capuchin Billy.
Visitors to The Monkey Sanctuary Looe can see the keepers tending to their wards and learn about their work in regular talks and workshops about The Monkey Sanctuary’s activities. Additionally, there’s a children’s activity room, children’s play area, a well stocked gift shop, café and numerous picnic areas.
Visitors are also able to gain a fascinating insight into the mysterious world of the rare lesser horseshoe bat. There is a colony using the cellar under the old house as a roost site, which visitors can observe through a bat cam.
