Smartsave is an on line marketing platform which promotes attractions and restaurants around the world direct to consumers who are looking for  discounts and benefits at 1000’s of participating merchants. Smartsave  provides discount vouchers through its website  www.smartsave.com,  physical maps through the For Less brand in London and New York  which are  distributed via hotels, and also the For Less apps (www.forlessguides.com).

 Job Title:  Promotions Executive

 

Job Role :

·          To ensure efficient and effective distribution of the London and New York map into distribution partners in both cities

·          Develop and maintain  relationships with distribution partners and ensure engagement with the product and knowledge of the benefits that it provides

·          To recruit new partners and expand the distribution channels

·          Provide insight and analysis on product performance with a view to continually improving Smartsave’s  return on investment

 

Responsibilities:

  • Map Distribution – Ensure a simple and efficient ordering and delivery process for distribution partners to ensure that the map product is always current and stock available
  • Product Promotion – Liaising both on the telephone and face to face with our distribution partners to make sure they both understand the product and are able to explain its benefits to their customers.  This is imperative to increase usage of the product
  • Relationship Management – Regular communication (telephone, written and direct) alongside incentive schemes to be used to ensure maximum ROI and targeted distribution channels
  • Populating Information Database – Collation of all weekly manifests from our distribution warehouse, uploading to our database on a regular basis and generating reports as needed
  • Reporting and Analysis – Extracting relevant and useful information out of large data sets to provide insight and statistics
  • New Business DevelopmentResearching and bringing onboard new distribution partners and distribution channels, ensuring that the product remains premium and that return on investment remains high,and arranging and implementing concierge incentives through competitions.
  • Familiarisation Trips – arranging fam trips to attractions for concierge partners to help promote the attraction and drive concierges to push the discounts in the maps to their guests
  • E-mail marketing – creating and writing engaging copy for B2B newsletters for London and New York

 

Key Results Areas:

·          Demonstrate growth in overall map redemption rates

·          Increase number of existing distribution partners who are engaged and reflecting good redemption rates

·          Information and reporting which is accurate and current

·          Responsibility for analysis and input into any new designs for maps

·          Addition of new relevant distribution partners in the travel & tourism sector

·          Positive responses to periodic surveys of customers and partners

 

Personal Specifications and Competencies:

·        Excellent  inter-personal skills  in written and spoken English ,confident to speak to internal and external stakeholders

·        Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly and accurately present findings and recommendations

·        Relationship management – demonstrating the ability to build and manage relationships with a wide range of partners

·        Strong influencing skills and a positive ,confident and  outgoing manner

·        Excellent organisational abilities – handling a large number of accounts in a logical and efficient manner and prioritising multiple projects

·        Extensive knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Powerpoint to an intermediate level

·        Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and to demonstrate an effective and resourceful approach to addressing any issues.

·        Analytical –being able to analyse data to provide insight and statistics

  • This is a very hands-on role with at least 2 days out of the office per week arranging visits and meeting new and existing London hotel and distribution partners
  • Frequent travel opportunities to New York to meet with partners.
  • Great opportunity to work for a small and friendly team and to learn a wide range of skills.

 

 

 Job Title:  Account Manager - Travel  

 

Job Role :

·          Key intermediary between partners and the Smartsave team - building strong, positive client partnerships and taking full ownership of all accounts

·          Identifying and targeting new partners, negotiating contracts and providing insight into partner performance

·          Delivering against the account vision to achieve account growth

·          Supporting Promotions Executive, ensuring smooth running of day to day operations and responsibilities

 

Responsibilities:

·          Relationship management - manage and retain existing partnerships with addition of new relevant partners throughout  UK and Europe

·          Achievement of planned account revenue targets

·          Successful campaign and project management  completing within deadlines

·          Insightful and analytical understanding of individual accounts as well as company-wide performance

·          Overseeing the running of campaigns and promotions, from brief right through to completion – ensuring that all promotional activity is in line with the clients expectations and is a positive representation of the Smartsave and For Less brands

·          Insight and analysis into brand and campaign performance – comparing actual revenue against the brand plan and identifying trends and key focus areas

·          Financial forecasting and reporting monthly client revenue numbers and working with finance team to ensure that entire invoicing process is correct.

·          Content management across all channels, and digital promotion

·          Working with an internal design team – performing the final reviewing and editing of materials  on printed map and website  before approving publishing and circulation

·          Selling advertising space on map on website to interested parties

 

Key Results Areas:

·          Demonstrate growth in redemption figures for partner accounts

·          Increase number of existing merchants in UK and Europe joining the Smartsave programme on map and website

·          Increase revenue streams through the addition of new affiliates

·          Marketing the for Less app concept to tour operators and identifying other potential partners

·          Presenting accurate financial forecasting and and monthly figures, adding insight and analysis

·

·          Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English with the ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders

·          An excellent negotiator and influencer – capable of delivering a good pitch and embracing new opportunities in a challenging competitive commercial environment

·          Evidence of success in building and managing relationships with high level stakeholders and managing global accounts

·          Leadership skills – a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams and to run cross-functional projects

·          Extensive knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to run reports and analysis through Excel at an advanced level

·          Knowledge and previous use of Content Management Systems

·          Resourceful and purposeful, with initiative, drive and a strong desire to deliver exceptional results

·          Confidence to suggest new initiatives for promotional opportunities,  and with a positive can-do attitude to see them through from briefing right through to completion, taking a creative and original approach

·          Strong commercial acumen – ability to analyse large data sets and present findings, and identify commercial opportunities with partners

·          Good clear decision making – supporting recommendations with robust data analysis and insight

·          Meticulous planner and implementer, organised and efficient – able to juggle busy workloads and prioritise tasks
